Developing social and communication skills in schools
[VIDEO: Engine Shed event at a secondary special school]
Imagine your school hall filled with trains … and your children working together to develop their social and communication skills.
All Aboard Club works with mainstream and special schools to provide inclusive activities for autistic and SEN children, using huge train sets which the children can build and play with.
Our child-led activities are run by staff with a personal experience of autism and ADHD. This allows the children to push their personal boundaries in an understanding and supportive environment.
Teachers and parents have been amazed by the relaxed and cooperative environment at our events, and how the children remain engaged for up to 2 hours with minimal adult supervision, as they work together to run the trains.
Working with your teaching and support staff, the children at an All Aboard Club event develop the following skills:
- Engagement & focus
- Cooperation & sharing
- Investigating how things work
- Imaginative play
- Fine motor skills
Can we bring our trains to YOUR school … for free?
[Is your school in London? All Aboard Club has funding to offer a FREE event to London schools. Please contact us to discuss how we can work together]
We could run an event for your whole school (class by class) or an activity just for a specific group of children – either during the school day or after school. We’d be happy for parents to attend and see how their children work so well together.
For more information, please contact Richard to find out how we can help the SEN children in your school.
