Engine Shed - South London

Relaxing trains for school children 😏

[Can we do this at YOUR school too?]

Our Engine Shed after-school club is up and running again at a South London special school.

Great to see the children take the opportunity to wind-down and decompress after a busy school day, while enjoying their special interest. Hopefully they are going home happier and more relaxed.

Would be great to run similar events in other schools.

Engine Shed - South London

EASTER TRAIN TAKEOVER IN CHEAM!

Engine Shed has been invited to take our trains to a 500-year-old house in #Cheam! We'll be there on Monday 6 April for the whole day.

Whitehall Historic House is run by Sutton Heritage - part of Sutton Council - and has lots of small rooms. But a recent Heritage Lottery Fund grant has included ramps between the different parts of the building - so our trains will be running all over the place!

Engine Shed runs events for autistic and SEN children, using their special interest to develop their social and communication skills. We run regular events in Sutton, Streatham, Caterham and Kew.

For more information, see www.engineshedlondon.com

Look out for more details, or email engineshedlondon@gmail.com to join our mailing list and get priority booking for all our events.

If you are coming to the Engine Shed event on Sunday in Kew (at the London Museum of Water & Steam), please be aware that there are major roadworks around Kew Bridge, near the museum. Car journeys will be much slower, and bus routes may be diverted.

As far as we know, SWR train services to Kew Bridge are running normally.

👀 I've been checking-out another location for an Engine Shed event. Do you know where I am?

We'll also be returning to the Bluebell Railway in February half-term, so look out for details soon. Our previous event at the Bluebell sold out in days, so make sure you book early!
